And We Are Off to "The Lake"
We've been waiting all summer to get to a few lakes to go swimming. We just haven't had a very warm summer and therefore have not had a lot of opportunities to swim. But this week when we finally had some temps around 80, we hit the road for the lake...2 times:)
The kids were so ready to get in and swim!
The pool is always fun, but there is something special about a trip to the lake!
Sam discovered that his big dump truck floats, so he was busy taking his dump-truck-motor-boat all over the place.
On one trip some friends joined us and the boys worked for a long time scooping and making this little lagoon. It was so nice for Sam to have some boys to play with!
The girls entertained themselves in other ways:)
They love being in the water!
We love a good trip to the lake and I'm so thankful we were able to make a couple trips this week! Thank you summer weather for making a brief appearance!

Yeah for lakes! We are so lucky living around here that there are so many inland lakes to swim in.
We tried swimming last week too but it still felt too cool. Come on, hot weather! Summer is almost over!
