Day by Day

Trick-or-Treat!  We had great weather for our town trick-or-treating this year.  It was so great to be able to walk around without winter coats!  The kids had so much fun and were anticipating getting their treats for weeks!

Princess Emmeline at the dinner table with her baby beside her:)
Sam discovered "The Littles" series and read 3 books in 3 days.  He's taken a break now since the weekend, but seems to have a new confidence in reading chapter books.  We love to see him read!
We had great fall weather last week and enjoyed what will probably be our last park outing for the year.
 Sam giving Mollie dance lessons.
A scene from our Friday night dance party.
Free day at the zoo this weekend!  Chilly weather, but it wasn't windy, so it was actually a pretty nice visit.
Late fall project of pulling out some wild sumac on our property.  The kids always enjoy helping, or at least riding in the Explorer for these projects.  Sam and Ed did a lot of work on this last weekend/week.
Annual fall project of taking the trampoline down.  Fun to see it go up and always sad to see it come down.
One last ride in Sam's go-kart before being stored for the winter.
Sam played Monopoly for the first time last weekend and he is officially hooked.  We played tonight and Sam won.  He wasn't holding back his excitement either!  Fun to see him enjoy learning all of these new things, and fun that he is getting old enough to enjoy them with us.

When was your trick or treating? Was it before Halloween? Our trick or treating weather (on Halloween) had awful weather. About 36 degrees with 50 mph winds. Yikes! The kids made it through anyway. ;)
