What fun we had this morning at a local event,
Dozer Day, featuring every piece of construction equipment a little boy could ever dream of wanting to play in! Every year, a nearby quarry fills to the brim with excavators, bulldozers, diggers, loaders, dump trucks, lifts, firetrucks, helicopters and even a few military vehicles. The coolest thing about this event is that the kids get to climb in and get rides on almost all of these things. Of course there are some long lines to be able to accomplish this, but the experience proved to be worth the wait for our sweet Sam this morning. He soaked it all up and loved seeing all of this equipment in action.
He sat in a helicopter with Dad...

Held a firehose and was able to spray the water with Mom...

Climbed up and drove a big dumptruck...

Enjoyed a little snack in the shade with the dumptruck we climbed in the background...

Played in the sand...

Checked out the real-life size of big dumptruck tires...

Went for a ride in the back of an articulated dumptruck through the quarry...

And just had fun exploring and watching everything there was to see! So much fun for a little boy!

What a great idea and time. I know Sam soaked every second up like a sponge. How are you feeling?
