Fall is here and with it come the wonderful weather and fun fall activities. The kids have been playing in the tall grass in our backyard and have come up with some creative things to do.
They have been playing hide and seek. One of them will find a spot to hide while the other two turn their heads and count to 10 (often while peeking:). It's so fun to see them doing this all together.
Then Sam came up with the idea of being lions on the prowl in the grass. They were even stalking one of our dogs as he was winding his way around:)
In summer, I don't like this part of our yard...all overgrown, it is just overwhelming. But in fall it turns into a park paradise. We mow paths through it so we can go on little hikes (or now Sam can use them for his Go Kart!), and now the kids are proving that the dried grass and fall flowers are a great spot to play too!
There are always new ideas and new discoveries.
Mollie found this turkey (or maybe hawk?) feather while she was looking for a place to hide and was quite proud. I love the adventures they are having and love that they can have them in our own back yard.
I love Fall...the weather, the activities, the decorations...just the feel of Fall. And we are going to enjoy every minute of it because even though the kids are talking about snow...I am NOT ready to even think about winter yet!
