Do You Believe in Leprechauns?

Sam learned A LOT about leprechauns and St. Patrick's Day this year at preschool. He came home every day and told me what mischief those leprechauns got into in his classroom. I have never really celebrated St. Patrick's Day and therefore figured it was time to do a little "Google-ing" to figure out what things leprechauns do in case they happened to visit our house too (as Sam said they would on the 17th:)!
It turns out that allowing those little guys into the house can be quite fun. They sneak in when nobody is there and cause harmless mischief...tipping things upside down and turning things green and they even leave gold coins and candy (of course...what holiday these days doesn't include a lot of candy).

Here are a few things those little guys got into at our house!

They dressed up our little moose in Sam's jacket and backpack...
They put the kids shoes in our pantry...
They turned the toilet water green and left foot prints on the seat...
They went crazy with streamers in our car...
They put our ball pool into the bathtub...
They left footprints on the sink and wrote on the mirror...
They left napkins with the kids names on them and each got a few "gold" pennies...
And they made some fun words with Sam's letter game...
There were a few more fun little things too, all of which Sam enjoyed discovering. All 3 enjoyed the "green potty" the most.
What a joy it is to watch the wonder in these little one's eyes at such silly things. It once again reminds me of how huge of role models we are in what we teach them. They watch and listen to our every move and count on us to have answers for all of their amazing questions. It is such a huge responsibility to try to ensure that we do the best we can to prepare them for the world around them. I hope and pray every day that I am doing okay:)
