Let's Swing!

Last fall we found a play set on Craigslist that needed a little love and attention, but seemed like it would be perfect for our backyard.  The whole thing needed to be taken apart, a few pieces needed to be replaced, and it needed a new coat of paint.  As spring approached we were anxious to get started, but had to wait a bit for temps to get warm enough to paint.  We tried to involve the kids in the whole process...hoping they may be a bit more appreciative of the work it takes to get these things together!

Ed was even brave enough to supervise everyone while they were painting.  They did a great job and I'm amazed at how long they stuck with it!
It was fun to see the pieces come together again.
Everyone was anxious to climb right away.
Everyone took a ride down the slide as soon as it was installed.
But the swings are the best part!  I'm so happy there are 3 of them!  That is what caught my attention as we saw pictures of it online.  The kids still manage to argue about who needs to sit on which swing, but at least there is one for each of them:)  I guess there will always to be something to argue about no matter what!
We hope this set bring them lots of fun this summer.  Ed is working on putting up a roof and then the fire pole (yes, it even has a fire pole!) has to be installed.  But the swings have seen a lot of play already!

So fun! Our kids LOVE their playset. It was definitely worth all the effort.
Enjoy!
