Is it really August already??? Summer is flying by and we've been having all kinds of fun. We've been crossing things off of our list and have been keeping busy finding all sorts of things to do!
The kids were all about fireworks this year. We took a trip to a fireworks store and picked out some things to try at home. The kids loved all of them but had a lot of fun on Sparkler night!
A second canoe trip for the year! And Sam even brought along his new remote control boat for the trip.
After completing his first round of swimming lessons for this summer, Sam took his first trip off the drop slide and couldn't get enough of it!
The girls took their first swimming lessons and LOVED it (except for the chilly temps.)!
A trip to the lake. Like last year, it hasn't been warm enough to get to the lake that often, but we've gone a couple times and hope to go again.
Sam enjoyed baseball again this year and did well. All of the kids were catching on so well at the end of the season, it was a shame it ended when it did!
Swimming at my friend Shellie's pool. This is always a favorite for the kids.
Random summer day activity...made a "mud pit" and then a "car wash" for the kids to play with a few toy cars in.
And it seems to be the summer of frogs and toads this year. The kids can't get enough of them. They have been all over the yard and are so easy to catch. All 3 kids love catching them and holding them and even put them in the water table to watch them swim sometimes. These kiddos LOVE frogs!
We have plans to make the most of our August days before school starts and still have lots of fun things to look forward to!

Fantastic!
That looks like a heck of a summer! So much fun.
I'm starting to panic because I know summer is almost over and I don't feel we've had enough fun times to show for it. Yikes!
I'm really hoping that we can get some nice hot weather so we can swim some more and do more fun stuff we had planned.
Enjoy the rest of August!
