Part 1 - Nebraska Pics

Okay, so I had a really hard time narrowing down the photos from Nebraska, so there are a lot of them here! Don't say I didn't warn you:) This first one is a new favorite...

We spent all day Friday on the road. Poor Sam...he had a really bad cold and by the time we stopped for lunch at noon, he was also running a fever. We even made a trip to the ER late Friday night after arriving in Nebraska (won't go into details, but it's not fun when you are on the road, your child is sick, and your trusted Dr. is not nearby). Despite all of this, the scenery on the way there was pretty nice, and Sam is a great roadtrip guy. There were lots of farms and many newborn calves in the fields!

On Saturday evening, we went to Ed's cousin's wedding. It was fun to see all of Sam's second cousins. I guess they had been practicing dancing the day before and were so excited to show off their new skills at the wedding! Sam was quite the trooper despite his bad cold, as you can see by this picture with "Mimi."

On Sunday we all got together for lunch, so Sam had another chance to hang with his second cousins and the rest of the Eisenhauer gang! (Check out how he is hugging the kitty on TV in the pic below...he loves cats!)

While in Nebraska, we stayed at "the Acorn Cabin," a great little place his aunt and uncle fixed up themselves. It rained a lot, but we still managed to keep busy:)

Several of Ed's aunts and uncles farm for a living. Sam LOVED exploring the farm and seeing everything that there is too see. I'm sure that this will become a favorite vacation place for him to go as he grows older. There were so many new things for him to see and experience.

We had a great time here with Sam:)

Finally, Sam made his first trip to the Eisenahuer missle base. For more info. on this, check out Ed's website http://home.att.net/~eisenhe/ I'm sure this will be another place for him to explore as he gets older. It is a favorite place for his dad to be when he is in Nebraska.
