1 mile down the road we have a very cool burger joint. It is a local hotspot in the summer. They even have carhops on rollerskates, delivering your food (or ice cream!) to your parked car. On Thursday evenings the lot fills with local car enthusiests...specifically collector car enthusiests. It is a fun way to enjoy an evening. Looking at all of the cars, eating a burger or ice cream and listening to 50's and 60's music...if the weather is nice, it is a very fun evening. Especially for a little boy who absolutely LOVES old cars.

They even have an ongoing hoolahoop contest. Some of these kids are
amazing with the hoolahoops, doing 3 or 4 at a time. I was surprised when Sam joined in the fun and actually did pretty good, considering he is 3:)

I can just see Sam and Yaya having a hoops contest this Thanksgiving! How fun would that be? Oh, I believe there's a classic car meet up every Wednesday night near us. Not sure of the dates but we could take Sam while you're here.
He and Little man L have a lot in common. Cars!
I love that he figured out so quickly that he needed to shake his hips, so he'd whirl the hula hoop and get to shakin'... even though the hoop fell down. Smart little boy! He'll have it figured out quickly if given another chance! :)
