This past weekend we took a bike ride to a nearby park so that we could have a picnic and explore.
I love picnics in the park:)

The kids had fun watching a few people launch their canoes and kayaks. A canoe trip is on our "list" for this summer and we hope to go very soon. Last year there wasn't enough water in the rivers...but this year water level is not a concern with all the rain we've had.
The kids loved splashing their feet in the river and using their nets to see what they could find.
Mollie could do this all day. She enjoyed herself so much and did not want to leave.
Emmeline liked it better where she was safe by Dad:)
It's always fun to explore this park with a beautiful river and bridges. No playground equipment needed!
We helped someone capture a family photo and they did the same for us. I was happy with how this turned out as well as it did!
The kids found a snail on an old piece of bark before we left. Bugs and crawling things are always so much fun to watch:)
I love these family times together and love that we are finally outside again! (except for the scattered rainstorms we've been having this week:)
